OUR STORY
Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life! Well, I don't know about that, but I love what I do! Originally from Paw Paw, I moved out West for college and received my degrees in Zoology, Psychology, and Wildlife Management from Humboldt State University. From there I had amazing experiences working in zoos and I continued my animal journey working in vet hospitals as a behavior consultant. That led to caring for animals while their family was away and also providing end-of-life care for those ready to cross the rainbow bridge.
I moved to Oregon, got married, and became a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist. I continued caring for domestic animals but spent most of my time rescuing wildlife! What a fantastic education and experience. Ask me about my crow! My husband never imagined a barn owl and peregrine falcon in our living room but there it is. After becoming a human mom, a horse mom, and goat mom, I can honestly say I have cared for and cleaned up most messes that can be organically created! My family and I recently moved back to Michigan and I'm looking forward to meeting new critter friends and finding how I can best serve your family.
I believe in providing continuity, predictability, and above all, comfort to our furry, feathered, and scaly friends. I understand animals thrive in routine and familiarity and strive to create a safe and reliable environment where they feel at ease.
